Real Food Kosher is a compilation of my favorite recipes, kitchen tips, healthy living resources, and nutritional information. I strive for nutrient dense foods that serve as a foundation for optimal health; foods that offer the body a line of defense against our toxic environment and assists in the prevention of chronic diseases. Most importantly, however, it needs to be delicious.
All Real Food Kosher recipes adhere to kosher dietary laws, meaning they meet the requirements of Jewish law; no shellfish, no pork, and no mixing of meat and dairy foods. This places additional challenges of maintaining real food principles in a healthy kosher kitchen, like finding local ethically raised meat and poultry that are kosher certified (animals must be slaughtered in specific ways to meet kosher standards), and buying kosher certified products that use real ingredients.
Most of all, Real Food Kosher is about connecting to a vibrant online community passionate about real food – minimally processed, without artificial ingredients or pesticides, not genetically modified – and properly prepared.
